Frequently Asked Questions
1. Were your photos edited?
Yes, they were. Editing (or post-processing) is an important part of photography. It facilitates artistic expression and helps photographers overcome limitations of equipment.
2. Do I need an expensive camera to take beautiful photos?
Generally speaking, you don’t. While a good camera certainly helps, it’s the person behind the lens that matters more. Some of the photos on this page were taken with a phone or with a second-hand compact camera costing only HK$1800 (US$230).
3. What camera should I buy?
I would encourage you to start with your existing equipment, such as your phone. It helps you understand what kind of cameras and lenses may be more suitable for you. If you need some help in picking the right cameras and lenses, take a look at
DPReview's Buying Guide.
4. May I use your photos?
Feel free to use them to decorate your home or your personal electronic devices. For any other use, please contact me for licensing.
